What is a DUI?

DUI stands for “Driving under the Influence,” a law that prohibits driving a vehicle while intoxicated.


What is BAC?
BAC stands for Blood Alcohol Concentration. This is the percentage of alcohol in the blood stream found when a person when charged with a Nevada DUI.


How many hours of alcohol classes will I have to take?
At minimum of 8 hours of "DUI school," either 4 two hour or 1 eight hour session.


May I obtain a license in another state as I’ve lost my Nevada License?
No (In most of the cases)


Will I be convicted for Nevada DUI while driving with my BAC below the legal limit?
Yes. As per the Nevada DUI Laws, it is also unlawful to drive with your normal faculties impaired such as driving an automobile.


What happens if I refuse to take a chemical test?
A refusal to take any test will not confuse the judicial process as most states have established provisions with penalties for Nevada DUI suspects that fail to take a chemical test.


I have been arrested for a Nevada DUI, will I lose my license?
Yes, the law enforcement officer will seize your license if you are arrested for Nevada DUI with an unlawful BAC or after you refused to submit to a chemical or physical test.


How long will I lose my license?
For 1 year if you have refused to submit for a chemical or physical test and for eighteen months if you have previously refused to submit to such a test. It is for a period of 6 months for the 1st offense and 1 year for the second offense if you are identified to have an unlawful BAC.
