DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND CAUSING BODILY INJURY
§ 23153. Causing Bodily Injury While Driving Under the Influence; Commercial Drivers.
(a) It is illegal for you to drive under the influence of any drug or alcohol and at the same time commit any illegal act or ignore any legal duty that leads to bodily injury to anyone other than yourself.
(b) It is illegal for you drive with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater and at the same time commit any illegal act or ignore any legal duty that leads to bodily injury to anyone other than yourself.
(c) You do not need to have violated any section of the Vehicle Code for someone to prove you ignored any legal duty imposed by law while driving.
(d) It is illegal for drivers of commercial vehicles to drive with a blood alcohol content of .04 or greater.
