STORAGE OF OPENED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE

§ 23225. Storage of Opened Alcoholic Beverage.

(a) It is illegal for you to keep a motor vehicle on the road that contains an opened alcoholic beverage, unless the container is kept in the trunk of the vehicle.

(b) If the vehicle in question does not have a trunk, the alcoholic beverage must be stored in a locked container or another place that is not commonly occupied by the driver or passengers

(c) This section still applies even if the registered owner of the vehicle is not present.
