Types of Tests


Driving a vehicle in the state is giving an obvious consent to submit to a chemical test for alcohol or drug content if stopped by a police officer of Arizona DUI.


You may be subjected to the following tests as per the Arizona DUI Law:


Blood Test
Police officers conduct Blood test as an immediate course of action to Arizona DUI. This involves taking a blood sample and measuring the alcohol content. A blood test measures for the presence of prohibited drugs and their remnants in your body.


Breath Test
Breath test is another post effect as per Arizona Dui law. A Breath test measures only alcohol. Equations are used to estimate the alcohol amount resident in a sample of deep lung air and then the law enforcement calculates the amount of blood alcohol that should be present. This type of test is error prone.


Field Sobriety Tests
These roadside tests are completely voluntary. According to Arizona Dui law, refusing the submit to field-testing will not result in the suspension of your driving privileges. These tests include The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test, The Walk and Turn Test, The One Leg Stand Test. These are not an effective indication of a person's level of intoxication.
